Masterclass for Architecture Students in Collaboration with Snøhetta Architecture Firm
Posted on
The BA Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center, in collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy in Cairo and Snøhetta architecture firm, is organizing the second edition of the Snøhetta Masterclass, which will take place from 24-25 September 2025 in the Third Floor Floating Room, BA Main Building.
The workshop will be presented by Martin Gran and Robert Greenwood, two principal partners at Snøhetta. It is aimed at third and fourth year architecture students and will be conducted in English.
Snøhetta is a globally renowned integrated architecture and design firm, with offices in Oslo, Paris, Innsbruck, New York, Hong Kong, Adelaide, and San Francisco.
This Masterclass builds on the success of its first edition held in October 2023, as part of the "Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Reviving the Legend" celebration. That event marked the return of the original team members from Snøhetta to Alexandria, where they shared the story behind the design and construction of the new Bibliotheca Alexandrina—one of the most iconic architectural achievements in their professional journey.
