The BA Director Congratulates H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Being Granted the Olive Tree of Peace Award

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the Library staff sincerely congratulate H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on being granted the Olive Tree of Peace Award by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, with the unanimous approval of all its members representing 43 European, Arab, and Mediterranean countries, in recognition of his role in stopping the war on the Gaza Strip and his continued peacemaking efforts.
Dr. Zayed said that this award is a well-deserved recognition of H.E. the President's intensive efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza and affirm the historical rights of the Palestinians. The award also confirms the pivotal role that Egypt plays in achieving peace in the region.
